Who We Are
Clay County Change Makers is a self-advocacy group in Florida that works to provide opportunities, raise awareness, and advocate for people with disabilities. They organize community service projects, like preparing snack trays for first responders, and collaborate with other organizations to improve accessibility and the quality of life in Clay County. The group is also involved in statewide efforts, such as participating in needs assessments and educating the community on issues like healthcare.
What We Do
Clay County Change Makers engage in various activities including:
Organizing and participating in community service projects, such as preparing and delivering snacks to first responders.
Volunteering and providing support to other community members in need.
Participating in statewide needs assessments to inform strategic plans for the Florida Developmental Disabilities Council (FDDC).Educating the community on important topics like Medicaid expansion.

The group is based in Clay County, Florida, and meets in Orange Park.
