Wilkinson Jr High Community Partnership School

Who We Are

The Children's Home Society of Florida partners with communities to establish Community Partnership Schools, which aim to address the various challenges that impede student learning, such as poverty, homelessness, mental health issues, and inadequate access to healthcare. These schools offer a comprehensive range of support services, including extended learning opportunities, wellness programs, and family and community engagement initiatives, to help students succeed both inside and outside the classroom. By fostering collaboration between the school district, a college or university, a healthcare provider, and a nonprofit organization, these partnerships create a strong foundation for supporting children's overall well-being and academic achievement. The Children's Home Society of Florida plays a crucial role as a founding and strategic partner in this initiative, working to ensure a brighter future for Florida's students and families.

What We Do

The community partnership school collaboration at Wilkinson Jr. High School supports the community by providing a food pantry, monthly food distribution, Friday food bags for students, an onsite clinic, clothing closet, school supplies, tutoring, culinary arts and visual arts enrichment; as well as mentoring and aids in building leadership skills. We do good and would love to have your help.
