Each year, the Clay Education Foundation gives away almost   $200, 000 in free school supplies to teachers and students.  Our satellite store in Keystone Heights needs some reorganizing and cleanup before we open up in August.  We will be building shelves, cleaning, dusting, and stocking inventory.  Bring your muscles and dress comfortably.  Bring water, we will provide lunch.  The site is located on the Keystone Heights Elementary campus.  Park by the baseball fields and enter off Orchid Ave through the gate and gym doors.

What Volunteers Do Set Up the Café — Prepare the space before opening, arrange seating, refresh cat areas, and ensure the environment is clean, cozy, and safe. Join us for a shift (or stay all day) on Wednesday, July 1st from either 8:30am - 12 pm or 1pm - 3:30 pm. Supplies will be provided for free. It is recommended to wear closed toe shoes, clothing you don't mind getting paint on, and sun protection. Feel free to bring bug spray, sunscreen, snacks, and water bottle to this event. *Participants under the age of 16 must be supervised the entire time throughout their shift* Camp Chowenwaw is a beautiful 150-acre recreation site on Black Creek.  The park offers camping, event facilities, hiking, fishing, kayak access, picnic areas, seasonal pool, museum, nature center, a playground, and environmental education programs. The Duval County Girl Scout Council operated the site as a camp for over 70 years beginning in 1933.  Camp Chowenwaw played an important role in the lives of three generations of young women in Northeast Florida. The camp is now managed by Clay County to preserve its historical and natural resources while offering recreational opportunities.

Volunteer: Back to School Bash - 7/25

The Back-To-School BASH will be held on Saturday, July 26th from 9-11:00am outside at the Thrasher-Horne Center.  The intent of this event is to help reduce financial stress of families with school aged children by providing children with backpacks, school supplies, new clothing, shoes, and more to empower them for a strong, successful start to the school year.  Volunteer Start & Finish Times: Set up Start Time: 6:45am Breakdown Finish Time: 10:45 (begins) Volunteer Event Jobs: Set-Up: Assist with the setting up different phases and are of the event Event: Assist in the operation of a station or area of the event as assigned Tear Down: Assist with tear down/packing/reloading tables, chairs, etc., clean up

The Back-To-School BASH will be held on Saturday, July 26th from 9-11:00am outside at the Thrasher-Horne Center.  The intent of this event is to help reduce financial stress of families with school aged children by providing children with backpacks, school supplies, new clothing, shoes, and more to empower them for a strong, successful start to the school year.  Volunteer Start & Finish Times: Set up Start Time: 6:45am Breakdown Finish Time: 10:45 (begins) Volunteer Event Jobs: Set-Up: Assist with the setting up different phases and are of the event Event: Assist in the operation of a station or area of the event as assigned Tear Down: Assist with tear down/packing/reloading tables, chairs, etc., clean up
