"Feast of Plenty"
We need your help to bring success to this years Feast of Plenty luncheon! On Thanksgiving day, our goal is to feed hundreds of hungry families and anyone that may be alone for Thanksgiving.
Here's where we need your HELP! We need volunteers for Thanksgiving Day and the 3 days before it. Help with food prep, waiting on tables, keeping up with facilities and parking lot guidance is needed. Training will be available for each if necessary.
Bring your family and friends to serve the less fortunate on Thanksgiving Day. The luncheon ends at 2PM which gives you time to spend an evening with family for Dinner.
Volunteer Day Shifts 11/25-11/28:
Monday Shift (11/25):
Food Prep. 10am - 4pm
* Need 10 Volunteers
Tuesday's Shifts (11/26):
Food Prep 10am - 4pm
* Need 10 Volunteers
Wednesday's Shifts (11/27):
Food Prep. 10am - 4pm
Cut & Season Turkey 6am - 8pm
* Need 15 Volunteers
Thanksgiving Day Volunteer Shifts (11/28):
Warm Up Turkeys: 6am - 12pm
Set Up/Decorating/Food Prep: 8am – 10:30am
Kitchen Workers: 8am - 2pm
Parking Attendants: 9am – 2pm
Line Servers: 10am - 2pm
Dishwashers: 10am – 2pm
Runners (from kitchen to servers): 10am - 2pm
Runners (from kitchen to servers): 10am - 2pm
Clean Up: 1:30pm – 3:30pm
*Need about 35 Volunteers (please put in note section which area you would like to volunteer)
Food Donation Information:
*All the cooking will have to be done at the prep location to lessen the risk of contamination so we will be asking you to donate of all the meal items we will need to prepare, or for you to purchase items and deliver them to the church by 4pm on Thursday, November 14, 2024 so we will have enough time to purchase additional amounts of the items needed. Here are the items you may donate:
Frozen Turkey, Cans of Turkey Gravy, Sweet Potato/Russet Potato, Cans of Cranberry Sauce, Cans of Chicken, Broth, Butter, Cans of Green Beans, Cans of Mushroom Soup, Rolls/Cornbread, Cans/Bags of Fried Onions, Cases of water, soda, juice, tea (12-16 0unces), Pies (Pumpkin, Sweet Potato, Apple, Pecan)
