Join Clay County Parks and Recreation at Camp Chowenwaw Park and volunteer in the Weed Wrangle! Weed Wrangle®, in partnership with the First Coast Invasive Working Group, is a “one-day, area-wide, volunteer effort to help rescue our public parks and green spaces from non-native invasive species through hands-on removal of especially harmful trees, vines, and flowering plants”.
- Cost is free!
- All ages welcome - we do ask that under 18 volunteers are accompanied by a chaperone.
This event will take place at Camp Chowenwaw Park in a highly vegetated woodland area on the edge of a wetland. Participants must wear closed-toe shoes and long pants. Long sleeves and a hat/other head coverings are also recommended. Sun protection and bug protection may be desired.
