Volunteer: Operation Lifeline Inc.- Homes for Heroes/Help for Families

Operation Lifeline is dedicated to fostering safe and inclusive housing, with a special focus on supporting veterans. Our mission is made possible by a mostly volunteer-based construction crew, generous support from vendors, and government grants that help individuals secure proper and affordable housing. On-site, a master carpenter provides guidance for those interested in learning or who already have experience in construction. We also offer weekly volunteer opportunities, including fence repair, gardening, and house preparation. There are many other ways to get involved and make a meaningful impact. Join us in building stronger communities—one home at a time.


Required qualifications:-Must be able to kneel and squat for extended periods of time.   -Closed toe or preferable reinforced toe shoes required.-Long pants.   -PPE will be provided such as protective eye wear and gloves.*Must be 18 years of age to volunteer.
A RELEASE OF LIABILITY WAIVER must be signed by every volunteer.

Volunteer: Meals and Mission Food Delivery Program

Operation Lifeline is in need of volunteers to pick up food items from two different WAWA locations in St. Johns, FL.  Pick up will be everyday Monday through Friday - preferably in the mornings from: WAWA @ 490 CR 210, St. Johns, FL 32259Pick up will be every Wednesday and Thursday only - preferably in the mornings from: WAWA @ 54 Cypress Edge Drive, St. Johns, FL 32259Volunteers will need to pick up green food transport bags and authorizing badge from the Operation Lifeline Headquarters in Green Cove Springs, FL located at 1689 Idlewild Ave. before going to the WAWA location.  We can also use assistance with distributing the food to various organizations that are in need of the food items.  We are looking for dedicated volunteers that would like to participate in a much needed and growing food distribution project.  Helping in this program will allow us to grow our footprint, get more food and in turn distribute more food to those individuals and families in need.  High School students are welcome to join this program, for their volunteer hours requirement.
