Who We Are

NAMI Jacksonville is an affiliate of NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness. NAMI is the nation's largest grassroots mental health organization, dedicated to improving the lives of people living with a mental health condition and their families. NAMI Jax is made up of people with mental illness, and families and friends of individuals with mental illness. We give support and friendship to each other, and share the knowledge gained through our own experiences – both successes and failures.

What We Do

We offer free support groups in safe environments for people with mental health disorders, and for their families, caregivers, and friends. We provide a variety of free educational classes, youth programs, community outreach presentations and programs, as well as many different types of resources. Volunteer opportunities can vary from attending a tabling event or monitoring the helpline, to assisting in presentations or leading a support group discussion. We have opportunities for teens, adults, military members and their families and/or caregivers. Check out our groups on our website.
